Stokes Equipment Service Technician (Field-based) in Horsham, Pennsylvania
Stokes Equipment Company, a leading distributor of loading dock equipment and industrial doors, is seeking skilled and motivated Service Technicians to join our team. Our technicians, considered Millwrights, play a crucial role in the installation, inspection, service, and repair of equipment across our service areas. This role requires a commitment to customer satisfaction and adherence to safety standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Field Service and Repair: Perform installation, inspection, service, and repair of equipment efficiently while ensuring customer needs are met and exceeded. Work may be carried out individually or in small teams.
- Training and Guidance: Mentor less experienced technicians, providing guidance on complex issues and training on field installation, service, repair, and administrative procedures.
- Documentation: Complete all necessary paperwork accurately using handheld devices or paper forms, including service tickets, time sheets, open job tracking forms, and safety analysis sheets.
- Equipment Operation: Operate service vehicles, including truck-based cranes, forklifts, welders, torches, and various power and hand tools, in compliance with DOT Driver Qualification standards.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to company, customer, and site-specific safety requirements and policies.
- Cross-Department Coordination: Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and enhance customer satisfaction. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Requirements
Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED. One to five years of experience in hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical equipment repair preferred. Successful completion of Rite-Hite service training programs required post-hire.
Certificates/Licenses/Registrations: Valid driver's license, passing DOT medical exam, and compliance with driver qualification standards. Ability to pass a drug & alcohol test upon hiring and subject to random quarterly DOT drug & alcohol tests.
Special Qualifications: Proficiency in reading and interpreting safety rules, blueprints, schematics, and maintenance instructions. Ability to write routine reports and communicate effectively with customers and employees.
OSHA 10 & 30 a bonus.
Physical Demands:
- *Requirements - *Regularly required to talk or hear, stand, walk, sit, and use hands. Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must regularly lift up to 10 pounds and frequently lift up to 25 pounds. Specific vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
