Pro Action of Steuben and Yates, Inc. Youth Employment Coordinator in Hornell, New York

Youth Employment Coordinator Pro Action’s Employment and Training Department has a full-time opening for a Youth Employment Coordinator. If you enjoy working with youth ages 14 to 21 and helping them learn, grow, and succeed, we encourage you to apply for this opportunity.The Youth Employment Coordinator will facilitate the Youth Empowerment and Summer Youth Employment programs and provide direct services by implementing employment experiences for eligible youth. You will provide job readiness and financial literacy training to youth in school, youth center, and community settings. As the Youth Employment Coordinator, some of the varied and interesting essential functions of your role will include: •Review applications and assist in the interview and selection processes•Organize and maintain participant files•Assist in establishing participant worksites and conducting compliance visits•Collect participant timesheets and review them for accuracy•Administer pre and post-tests to gauge program success in targeted areasThe Youth Employment Coordinator will be an individual who is organized and has excellent listening skills. Also needed in this position is the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines and to maintain strict confidentiality. The ability to work independently and problem solve is also needed.Preferred qualifications for this position include an Associate Degree in Human Services or a related field with a minimum of 3 years working in Human Services, specifically with youth. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. A valid driver’s license meeting agency standards is required.
