- Perform all duties under the direct supervision of a RN, as ordered by a Primary Physician.
- Help patients with bath, care of mouth, skin, and hair.
- Helping patients in the bathroom, using diapers, or in using a bed pan.
- Helping patients in and out of bed, assisting with ambulation.
- Helping patients with prescribed exercises, which they have been taught by appropriate professional personnel.
- Reporting any changes in families and or patients mental or physical condition to your supervisor immediately.
- Personal care including making and changing beds (with or without pt in bed) and straightening up patients' personal environment.
- Light housekeeping: dishes, vacuuming, bedmaking, dusting, mopping, sweeping, laundry, and taking out the trash.
- Preparing or warming prepared foods and feeding patients during appropriate times.
- Asist patients in taking their medications and reporting any side effects, refusals, or adverse reactions immediately.
- Teaches safety measures, household routines, and skills to appropriate family members whenever necessary.
- Understand that supervisors and or assistive devices are available 24 hours a day for changes in patients' functional status and or condition.
- The Home Health Aide- Homemaker is to act as a role model for the patients and family.
