How you will make an impact The Senior Technician 1, Material Handler receives, moves, handles and accounts for raw materials, Work-in-Process, and Finished Goods within the Halozyme Minnesota Operations Facility. In this role, you will be involved in the physical handling of materials as well as maintaining accurate records within a cGMP environment and operate in accordance to our policies and environmental health and safety guidelines. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to: Receive, check and verify all incoming shipments. Move and store materials in the appropriate storage locations. Fill internal requests for material and deliver materials to the manufacturing area. Assist with maintaining a clean and organized work area to ensure established safety requirements are maintained. Use of pallet jacks and forklift to move materials. Proper packaging of items for safe transport and arranging the shipment of outbound materials. Accurate entry of data related to receiving, inventory control, movement, and shipping of materials. Perform cycle counts and ensure accurate inventory levels are maintained. Investigate and report any inventory discrepancies. Provide input towards the review and revision of SOPs. Ensure all materials and parts meet the minimum requirements for quality assurance standards. To succeed in this role, you'll need: High School Diploma or equivalent is required with a minimum of 2 years experience in warehousing and inventory control in a cGMP manufacturing environment required. Experience working in an FDA regulated operation strongly preferred. Previous experience in biotechnology or pharmaceutical industries preferred. Knowledge of lean manufacturing practices. Must have the ability to work safely and responsibly in a Warehouse area. Must have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Understanding of warehouse, logistic, and inventory control practices and the ability to apply those practices to a wide range of industry tasks. Ability to perform physical activity such as standing for long periods of time, walking, and working with hands. Several factors, such as experience, tenure, skills, and particular business needs, will determine an individual's exact level of compensation. Base salary is only on element of employee compensation at Halozyme. Total compensation could include bonuses, sales incentives, and equity awards.
