DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This role involves advanced mechanical work focused on the maintenance and repair of automotive and related equipment within the Raccoon Creek State Park Complex. Furthermore, it encompasses skilled tasks across various trades related to the upkeep, repair, and construction of park buildings, facilities, and equipment at both Raccoon Creek and Hillman State Park Complex. The individual in this position collaborates with a supervisor to ensure that all tasks are completed safely and efficiently as part of a team across the park facilities. Duties are performed regularly throughout the week, with a schedule that includes weekends, evenings, and holidays as necessary to support park operations and address seasonal demands.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, with a 30-minute lunch, 5 days a week This is a 7 day a week operation, weekends and holidays may be required Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Successful completion of the commonwealth's Diesel and Construction Equipment Mechanic Trainee program;or Two years of journey level mechanic experience in the diagnosis and repair of automobiles, heavy trucks, or construction equipment, which includes one year of experience in the diagnosis and repair of diesel vehicles or equipment;or An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Special Requirement: This position requires an active Pennsylvania Class 7 Inspection Mechanic Certification on the first day of employment.

Other Requirements: This particular position requires possession of an active Class C non-commercial Driver's License. You must meet the PA residency requirement.
