Always Best Care Senior Services - Oahu is currently seeking compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) to join our team at our facility in Honolulu, Hawaii. As a CNA, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to seniors, assisting them with essential daily activities and helping them maintain their overall well-being. Description of the Role As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at Always Best Care Senior Services - Oahu, you will be responsible for providing personalized care to residents in our facility. This includes assisting them with activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, and toileting. In addition to attending to residents' physical needs, you will also provide emotional support and engage them in recreational activities to enhance their quality of life. You will be instrumental in maintaining a clean and organized living space for residents, ensuring their comfort and safety. Responsibilities * Assist residents with essential daily activities, including bathing, dressing, eating, and toileting. * Monitor residents' physical and mental health, promptly reporting any changes to the supervising nurse to ensure appropriate care. * Provide emotional support to residents, actively engaging them in recreational activities and promoting social interaction. * Observe and record residents' vital signs, promptly reporting any abnormalities to the nurse for further evaluation. * Maintain a clean and organized living space for residents, assisting with laundry as needed. * Follow all safety and infection control protocols to ensure the well-being of residents. * Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop individualized care plans for each resident. Requirements * Valid certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) from an accredited program. * Minimum of 1 year of experience working as a CNA in a healthcare or senior care facility. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with residents, their families, and healthcare teams. * Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, to ensure optimal care coverage. * Physical ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds when assisting residents with mobility. * Successful completion of a criminal background check and drug screening.
