  • Position Summary*

The Supervisor AOG Sourcing position is part of a twenty-four (24) hour, seven (7) day a week Material Management team responsible for the FAA compliant, procurement, management, and delivery of aircraft materials, parts, equipment, and supplies. The supervisor provides daily leadership and management of the AOG Sourcing team driving the most cost competitive value in accordance with company compliance policies and procedures.

  • Key Responsibilities*

  • Manages and evaluates the performance of the 24/7 AOG Sourcing Specialist against measurable performance goals with emphasis on executing proper internal controls.

  • Provide daily operational guidance to staff and ensure training and compliance with policies and procedures

  • Establish and maintain detailed working knowledge of all business systems applicable to the operation

  • Participate in daily operations meeting and communicate status of department metrics and of requested material

  • Ensure expeditious receipt and distribution of operational critical items

  • Develop and ensure compliance of all processes for all shifts.

  • Ensure proper communications are maintained with all departments within Supply Chain Management and Technical Operations Departments

  • Monitor and manage all expenditures, purchase orders and invoices against the approved budget

  • Draft and maintain the Material Management Operations Procedures Manual

  • Work with Maintenance and Engineering Department stakeholders to develop short- and long-term plans to satisfy material requirements

  • Train, coach and mentor direct reports for career development and performance improvement.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to meet operational goals and ontime delivery

  • Contribute to the development of tools and processes which make our team and vendors more efficient

  • Perform personnel functions, including optimizing manpower coverage/scheduling, tracking of sick calls, vacation, payroll

  • Other duties as required

  • Minimum Requirements*

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field and a minimum of 2 years of related experience in airline, logistics or related field OR 5 years’ experience in Supply Chain Management or related field

  • 2 years’ experience managing direct reports

  • Strong process analysis and continuous improvement skills

  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills

  • Self-directed with the ability to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment

  • Strong proficiency in Excel and other business/ERP/MRP systems

  • Requires flexibility in schedule including, but not limited to after hours, holidays and weekends.

  • On call support, travel domestic and international to support activities related to aircraft maintenance support, resolving supplier issues, negotiating value added pricing and developing joint remedies to supplier issues is required

/ Please note that the provided salary information serves as a general guideline. Our salary is determined by a candidate's experience and qualifications as well as market and business considerations. The expected pay range is $81,600- $116,500./

  • Prior Experience in Supply Chain or Maintenance within the Technical Operations functions of an FAR 121 airline

  • Lean Six Sigma Certification
