Robert Half Staff Accountant in Honolulu, Hawaii
Description
We are currently in search of a Staff Accountant to be part of our team, based in Honolulu, Hawaii. This role involves a focus on maintaining complete financial records, managing accounts, and ensuring the accuracy of financial transactions. The Staff Accountant will also be tasked with preparing and examining financial statements and reports while ensuring compliance with financial reporting standards. Responsibilities:
• Execute general bookkeeping tasks and maintain comprehensive sets of financial records.
• Manage and track accounts to ensure accuracy in financial transactions.
• Prepare and scrutinize financial statements and reports, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Ensure company's control procedures are reliable and compliant with financial reporting standards.
• Assist in budget preparation and manage tax payments.
• Perform internal audits to ensure financial control and compliance.
• Conduct cost and revenue analyses to inform financial decisions.
• Make appropriate financial recommendations based on analyses.
• Utilize necessary software and systems for complex accounting activities.
• Report directly to the senior management team, providing timely and accurate financial information.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role
• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Experience with Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, and Journal Entries
• Familiarity with Month End Close procedures
• Knowledge of financial software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles
• Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
• Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software
• Proficiency in English and in Microsoft Office
• Customer service orientation and negotiation skills
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
