Description
We are looking for a Senior Controller to joining a local company in Honolulu, Hawaii. In this role, you will be tasked with overseeing the financial operations and ensuring the integrity of financial reporting and managing a small team. You will also play a pivotal role in providing strategic insights to support the company's growth and profitability. If you are interested in the role, please contact Melissa Tree at 808.452.0254. Responsibilities:
• Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements.
• Analyze financial and tax data to provide actionable insights and recommendations to senior management.
• Lead the annual budgeting process and develop financial forecasts to support strategic planning and decision-making.
• Monitor budget performance and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Oversee cost accounting and job costing processes, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting of project costs.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to improve financial efficiency.
• Establish and maintain effective internal controls to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial transactions.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, federal, state, and local regulations, and industry standards.
• Manage cash flow, including cash forecasting, monitoring cash balances, and optimizing cash utilization.
• Oversee the implementation and maintenance of financial systems and software, ensuring they meet the company's needs and industry standards.
• Lead and develop the accounting team, providing mentorship, training, and performance management.
• Provide financial insights and support to senior management and other departments, contributing to strategic planning, business development, and operational improvements.
Requirements • Must possess a minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar role or related field.
• Proficient in Accounting Software Systems.
• Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services is a must.
• Proficiency in Deltek Vision is required.
• Knowledge of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and ERP Solutions is an advantage.
• Ability to carry out Accounting Functions effectively.
• Proficiency in handling Accounts Payable (AP).
• Experience in Auditing is necessary.
• Familiarity with Budget Processes is a plus.
• Knowledge of Capital Management is necessary.
• Should hold a valid CPA license.
