Robert Half Property Accountant in Honolulu, Hawaii
Description
We are in search of a Property Accountant to join our team based in Honolulu, Hawaii. In this role, you will be mainly tasked with managing the financial operations of a hotel/resort. This includes handling accounts payable and receivable, processing payroll, budgeting, and generating accurate financial statements. If interested in this role, please call Noe Silva at 808.452.0264. Responsibilities:
• Manage full cycle payables process, prepare analysis, payments, and reconciliations
• Oversee the fixed asset ledger and prepare financial statements in compliance with GAAP
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial preparation, reconcile accounts, and identify/correct errors
• Ensure compliance with local/state taxes, implement internal controls, and analyze procedures for improvement
• Serve as point of contact for accounting matters, answer questions, and train on-site personnel
• Assist with budgeting, auditing, and ad-hoc projects as needed
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Process payroll and maintain accurate records
• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues effectively.
Requirements • A minimum of 3 years of experience in property accounting or a related field
• Proficiency in Property Accounting
• Experience in preparing and analyzing Financial Statements
• Demonstrated ability in Budgeting
• Knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes
• Ability to Process Payroll effectively
• Experience in managing Fixed Assets
• Proficiency in performing Reconciliations
• Understanding of GAAP Accounting principles
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is preferred.
