Actalent Project Manager (Environmental) in Honolulu, Hawaii
We are in search of a Regional Manager who has direct responsibility and accountability for all aspects, including business development, operations, staffing, client management, and profit and loss associated with developing, maintaining, and expanding business operations within the assigned region based on an established regional budget and performance goals. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of leading teams in the environmental remediation sector.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop areas of expertise and expand client relationships beyond existing contracts.
Recruit employees; assign, direct, and evaluate their work; and oversee development and maintenance of staff competence.
Develop and implement policies, standards, and procedures for engineering and technical work.
Review and approve contracts and cost estimates.
Prepare large-scale programmatic proposals.
Forecast project work on existing contracts and identify potential opportunities within them.
Report to leadership on project status.
Schedule and assign duties to staff scientists and engineers based on evaluation of their knowledge of specific disciplines.
Prepare environmental project feasibility and progress reports.
Review technical aspects of projects to assist staff and assess productivity.
Review project operations to ensure coordination of efforts and timely submission of reports.
Analyze reports to evaluate program effectiveness and prepare impact analyses.
Develop and maintain baseline budgets and schedules for assigned projects.
Coordinate planning, testing, and operational phases to complete projects.
Confer with local regulatory agencies regarding environmental quality standards and developments in pollution abatement.
Provide technical assistance to agencies conducting related environmental studies.
Coordinate and direct projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and integrating technical activities.
Prepare budgets, bids, and contracts, and direct the negotiation of research contracts.
Perform administrative functions such as reviewing and writing reports, approving expenditures, enforcing rules, and making purchasing decisions.
Visit project sites periodically.
What You Bring:
Minimum of 15 years of industry-related experience. (Environmental Science, Remediation, Geology)
Proven ability to formulate strategic business decisions and execute them effectively.
Demonstrated success in client relationship management and business operations, including business development.
Strong ability to interact effectively with leadership, clients, regulatory agencies, field operations, technical staff, and subcontractors.
Experience providing technical direction on projects and conducting technical reviews of written documents.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with experience preparing project proposals and delivering compelling presentations to various audiences.
Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills, with the ability to lead, manage, and motivate staff in a team environment.
Solid understanding of project cost and schedule controls.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
40-Hour HAZWOPER training and 8-Hour HAZWOPER Refresher.
Willingness to travel up to 25% to 50% of the time to project sites.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $130000.00 - $160000.00
