Queen's Health System Operations Manager, Remote Patient Monitoring Program - Native Hawaiian Health (Temporary, Full-Time, 40, Day, Hybrid Schedule) in Honolulu, Hawaii

RESPONSIBILITIES

I. JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supervises the day-to-day operations, and coordination and implementation of services, programs and activities of the Remote Patient Monitoring Program (RPM), ensuring consistency with strategic plans, goals and objectives of The Queen’s Health Systems (QHS).

• Responsible for patient care activities, clinical services, or clinical research that promote health equity and continuity of care for patients across QHS.

• Partners with Native Hawaiian Health (NHH), the Queen’s Clinically Integrated Physician Network (QCIPN), Executive and Quality teams to coordinate performance improvement initiatives based on strategies and goals to improve access to remote patient monitoring and virtual care for underserved populations.

• Supports the Manager in establishing and maintaining a systematic review, assessment, and evaluation of care management activities.

• Serves as a liaison between virtual care, administration, and operational departments.

• Develops and oversees telehealth/virtual care training for the RPM program.

• Ensures operations and functions are in compliance with regulatory requirements and the policies and procedures of QHS.

• Serves as the manager of the department/unit in the absence of the Manager as assigned.

II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Seeing, hearing, speaking, finger dexterity.

• Frequent: standing, sitting, walking, lifting and carrying usual weight of 2 pounds, reaching above, at and below shoulder level, repetitive arm/hand motions.

• Occasional: stooping/bending, kneeling, climbing stairs, walking on uneven ground, squatting, twisting body, frequent gripping of an object.

III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions.

• Work involves off-site activities, including home or community outreach visits to patients, and occasional travel to the neighbor islands as needed.

• Must have access to motor vehicle.

IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

A. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:

• Hawaii State license as a Registered Nurse.

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing.

• Master’s degree highly desirable.

• Valid U.S. Driver’s License required in accordance with Hawaii State law rules and regulations.

• Driver’s abstract or evidence of good driving record.

• Current BLS certification.

B. EXPERIENCE:

• Three (3) years clinical experience as a Registered Nurse.

• One (1) year supervisory/leadership experience.

• Experience to demonstrate ability to implement and oversee organization wide programs.

• Ability to communicate and work effectively with leadership, physicians, clinical and non-clinical staff.

• Strong presentation skills.

• Strong organizational and leadership skills.

• Clinical experience in a hospital or care coordination setting preferred.

• Experience implementing and/or supporting software solutions in a healthcare organization (i.e., hospital, physician office, health insurance payer) preferred.

• Prior experience working with Native Hawaiian or underserved communities preferred.

• Prior experience with public health outreach, community health and community education preferred.
