Rehabilitation Hospital of the Pacific Maintenance Technician 1st Class in Honolulu, Hawaii
Position Title: Maintenance Technician 1st Class FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Reports To: Manager of Facilities
POSITION SUMMARY: Performs a variety of general maintenance tasks, including repairing and maintaining buildings, equipment, systems and grounds. Completes minor construction projects within scope of training and experience.
Starting Wage: $20.882
The posted wage is the current starting wage for this position. Actual wage is dependent on the applicant's relevant experience and qualifications for this position. JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Certification/Licensure:
- Current State of Hawaii drivers license.
Education:
- High School graduate or equivalent.
Skills/Experience:
One (1) year of working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing and building controls systems.
One (1) year of general building maintenance experience using power equipment and hand tools.
Problem-solving, organizational skills and ability to work independently and part of the team.
Customer service and effective communication skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Certification/Licensure:
- Current State of Hawaii drivers license.
Education:
- At least two (2) years of Vocational Trade School education.
Skills/Experience:
Two (2) years building construction or utilities trade experience.
Experience in a healthcare setting.
