Queen's Health System Electronic Technician - Biomed Clinical Technology (Full-Time, Days) in Honolulu, Hawaii
RESPONSIBILITIES
JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Installs, repairs, calibrates, and performs preventative maintenance on electronic equipment and systems assigned.
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
• Essential: standing, sitting, walking, stooping/bending, kneeling, crawling, climbing stairs, walking on uneven ground, squatting, twisting body, finger dexterity, seeing, hearing, speaking, lifting usual weight of 15 lbs up to 50 lbs, pushing/pulling usual weight up to 50 lbs of force, carrying usual weight of 15 lbs, reaching above, at and below shoulder level, repetitive arm/hand motions, static gripping of an object for prolonged periods, frequent gripping of an object.
• Occasional: carrying weight up to 50 lbs.
• Operates electronic test equipment, hand and power tools, office equipment.
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
• Subjected to both inside and outside environmental conditions.
• Exposure to live wire circuits, hazardous chemicals and communicable diseases.
• Exposure to hazardous chemicals and gases.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:
• Associate’s degree in Electronics Technology; or a trade school certificate in a similar field; or two (2) years of practical work experience with supervised on the job training performing duties of an electronic technician may be substituted for the educational requirement.
B. EXPERIENCE:
• Prior recent experience as an electronics technician preferred.
• Experience to demonstrate the following:
o Knowledge of electronic equipment and systems.
o Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and departments.
o Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
