Queen's Health System Clinical Coordinator - Pulmonary Critical Care Program (Full-Time, Day, 40) in Honolulu, Hawaii
RESPONSIBILITIES
I. JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Plans, coordinates, and oversees the Queen’s University Medical Group (QUMG) pulmonary/pulmonary hypertension activities to ensure delivery of quality patient care/services, compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements, and achievement of established goals and objectives.
• Provides clinical and technical guidance to staff.
II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
• Essential: finger dexterity, seeing, hearing, speaking, sitting, static gripping of an object for prolonged periods, walking, standing, stooping/bending, climbing stairs, walking on uneven ground, lifting and carrying usual weight of 1 pound up to 5 pounds, reaching above, at and below shoulder level, frequent gripping of an object.
• Operates (equipment) computer, calculator, telephone, fax and printer
III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
• Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions.
• Handles multiple tasks at a time.
• May require travel to the neighbor island.
IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:
• Current Hawaii State License as a Registered Nurse.
• Associates degree in Nursing.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.
• Current certification in CPR at BLS-HCP level.
B. EXPERIENCE:
• Two (2) years nursing experience with general pulmonary and pulmonary hypertension patients.
• Experience with word processing and database applications.
• Experience to demonstrate:
o Ability to perform patient education and care coordination.
o Ability to coordinate performance improvement activities.
o Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in using EMR–EPIC application preferred.
