Actalent is in search of Civil Engineer who are looking to get their foot in the door with a Engineering Consultant company in Hawaii.

Overview:

The Licensed Engineer is motivated, takes initiative and works efficiently and independently. The Licensed Engineer applies sound and diversified knowledge of engineering and practices in broad areas of assignments and related fields. This individual should have water, wastewater, ocean/ coastal or environmental background .

NOTE: Some travel may be required (day trips, short-term and/ or long-term trips). Some night and weekend work may be required.

Essential Functions:

· Assist in completing engineering and planning projects

· Provide technical support to the engineers

· Collect data and assist in research for engineering and planning projects

· Perform testing and troubleshooting functions from various processes or functions

· Assist in conducting hazardous and regulated material analysis; prepare Environmental Impact Statements/ Reports

· Assist in planning, designing and implementing various projects, including abatement and mitigation measures

· Perform asset analysis and environmental sampling and monitoring

· Maintain project schedule by studying project plan and specifications

· Review and process design requirements- RFIs, submittals and project changes

· Assist with all aspects of task and technical management, problem resolution and resolve technical issues

· Assist in preparing project status reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends, and recommending actions

· Maintain safe and clean working environment by adhering to rules, regulations and procedures

· Maintain product and company reputation by complying with federal and state regulations

· Able to perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

· Must be eligible to work in the U.S.

· BS in Engineering or Construction Management from an accredited college or university

· Professional Engineer License required

· 5-10 years of experience required

· Design experience required

· Must be able to obtain security clearance- TWIC, Marsec and TSA

· Ability to create design plans and specifications with minimal oversight

· Strong communication and technical writing skills required

· Proficient skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint), Adobe Acrobat and AutoCAD

· Able to learn quickly and adapt to a dynamic work environment

· Ability to conduct research and apply it to engineering solutions

· Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision

· Valid driver’s license required

· Must posses a current, valid passport or be able to obtain one

· Must be able to perform work in remote areas

· Flexibility, as hours may vary based on the needs of the company

Physical Demands:

· Light to moderate physical effort (ability to lift/ carry up to 40 lbs.)

· Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling objects

· Frequent reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, or crouching

· Computer work or constant standing for extended periods of time

· Frequent standing and sitting throughout the day

Working Conditions:

· Air-conditioned office environment

· Frequent exposure to computer monitors

· Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, flex hour available.
