Vice President, APAC Investment and Portfolio Solutions, Global Product Solutions

Business Unit Overview

Investment and Portfolio Solutions is a global function in the Global Product Solutions business that provides actionable investment insights and portfolio consulting to help clients in how they use BlackRock's full range of products and solutions to build better portfolios. Global Product Solutions drives the innovation and commercialization of BlackRock’s full investment platform, unlocking new growth opportunities across Active, iShares, and Private Markets by bridging product strategies with client needs and market trends.

Responsibilities:

• Create investment strategy materials to drive the commercial narratives across Active, iShares, Private Markets for institutional and wealth clients

• Has a strong understanding of macroeconomic developments and how they can influence investment strategies and portfolio outcomes

• Drive flows into BlackRock products by developing portfolio analyses and solutions

• Proactively disseminate investment and portfolio construction knowledge throughout the sales and marketing teams to help drive our firm’s commercial priorities

• Drive key investment and technology projects, demonstrating expertise in portfolio construction to craft client materials

• Continually expand and deepen investment, portfolio construction and BlackRock product knowledge base

• Be an agent for change by using technology skills to help drive scale in the investment strategy and portfolio consulting business process

• Formulate, build and deliver individual client projects, maintaining responsibility for delivering client analysis to key client partners

• Build business plans and a strategy to commercialize portfolio consulting services in targeted Asia Pacific countries

This position is based in Hong Kong.

Experience:

• 7+ years’ experience in portfolio consulting and/ or investment research at a buy-side or other financial institution

• BA/BS in a quantitative/analytical field such as finance, economics or science

• CFA and/or advanced degree desirable

• Excellent analytical skills, and extensive experience in utilizing those skills in an applied research environment

• Knowledge of risk modeling and proven ability to convey sophisticated topics simply and coherently

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; programming skills (SQL/VBA/Python/Matlab) a plus

• Strong understanding of financial markets and portfolio construction techniques

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. The successful candidate must have the confidence and credibility to persuasively interact with colleagues, management, and clients
