_About the Role_
The Business Analytics team is responsible for hands-on execution and delivery of business data insight priorities and strategy. We are looking for a motivated and self-driven individual with an analytical mindset who can bring relevant fresh ideas and concepts to the table; put that creativity into practice; and ultimately be able to articulate analytical findings to a wider audience and drive the strategy for the business insights and analytics. Being a strong collaborative team player is a must and having a solid understanding of the wider private wealth management industry is strongly desired. Role reports into the domain lead for data.
_Key Responsibilities_
- Drive and execute on PWM Business Analytics strategy
- Employ Big Data, ML, AI, and other analytical concepts (where available) to flesh out deep business insights, across fraud analytics for both early risk indication and AML detection themes as well as marketing and revenue generation initiatives.
- Ensure that all Data analytics and mining activities use trusted data that is fit for purpose and is contained to relevant parties only i.e. a strong ongoing conviction in Data Governance
- Engage and understand business and stakeholder needs and proactively propose data driven solutions.
- Innovate and build quick prototypes to display value as proof of concepts and then scale to production for business to execute for decision making.
- Develop advanced and scalable data visualization / BI reporting framework as the business grows its footprint and data becomes more central to its evolution.
_Qualifications, Skills & Requirements_
- A candidate with a Bachelor’s/Masters in computer science, finance, business analytics with at least 7 years’ experience in building data science and analytics models.
- An analytical yet entrepreneurial/creative mindset is key to succeeding in this role.
- A strong team player with demonstrated ability to build strong partnerships by applying quantitative techniques to solve business problems.
- Proven experience with data analytics and data engineering work
- Experience with data visualization packages – especially Power BI
- Possess a strong ability to query and manipulate data sets across multiple platforms and sources (across structured and unstructured data forms)
- Knowledge of cloud-based technologies Snowflake is an advantage.
- A strong communicator, with clear articulation of analytical findings through presentations.
- Ability to multi-task and works efficiently in fast-paced environment
- Experience or awareness in the private wealth management industry is desired
- Strong knowledge of NLP, Transformer models, LSTM, K-Means, Random Forest, Gradient Boosting models.
