THE DIME BANK Network Administrator in Honesdale, Pennsylvania

Basic Qualifications

 

Education/Training: B.S. degree in Computer Science or related technology field of study preferred; intermediate knowledge of computer and server hardware; including current Windows desktop and server environment operating systems.  Working knowledge of the technical constructs of local and wide area networks and VOIP Telecommunications. Certifications in A+ or Network + are preferred.

 

Skill(s): Communicates in English; competent reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics skills; moderate interpersonal relations and communicative skills; proficient technical and computer skills; moderate knowledge of complex networks, user security, and active directory administration.

 

            Experience:  A minimum of three (3) years' experience in related positions normally required.

 

 

General Responsibilities

 

Participates in planning, coordination, design, installation, and connectivity of computer and network systems to ensure the stable operation of the Bank's Information Technology Network and Infrastructure assets. This includes developing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all new and existing network hardware, software, and communication protocols.

 

Essential Duties

 

  1. Support the desktop and laptop environment and server environment as well as the solutions that support those environments.

     

  2. Participate in the implementation of systems, software, and network solutions for the Bank as required.

     

  3. Maintain user access management requests as assigned.

     

  4. Execute projects, as directed, including documentation and oversight of Managed Information Technology infrastructure and solutions.

     

  5. Attain certifications as required for the organization to meet vendor guidelines, as well as to keep current with ongoing requirements for Network Administration and the Bank.

     

  6. Participate in training as required for the Bank to meet regulatory requirements, as well as to keep current with ongoing requirements for the role and the Bank.

     

  7. Update all application technology hardware and operating system inventories.

     

     

  8. Technical responsibilities:

     

  9. Deploy desktop and laptop images through standard software deployment methodologies.

     

  10. Assist, as requested, in analyzing and resolving wireless local area networks (WLAN) hardware, and software problems.

     

  11. Work collaboratively with Network Services team members and vendors to maintain the Bank's telecommunications infrastructure which includes configuring, diagnosing, repairing, and upgrading all telephone systems and services, voicemail, and VOIP-PBX communication systems, and video conferencing environments, both internally and those integrated with Internet-based services.

     

  12. Support the bank's Audio/Visual solutions.

     

  13. Assist in the installation of network cabling and physical equipment such as racks, UPS, servers, switches, PCs, laptops, wireless access points printers, etc. as needed.

     

     

     

3.Administrative Responsibilities:

 

  1. Maintain documentation, as directed, of the Bank network configuration, network mapping, processes, and service records.

     

  2. Complete helpdesk tickets promptly, and thoroughly and communicate issues and remediation with internal stakeholders and Information Technology teammates.

     

  3. Follow Information Technology Standard Operating Procedures.
