Description We are inviting applications for the role of Accounting Clerk to join our team in Homewood, Alabama. This job function involves a broad range of accounting tasks, mainly focusing on maintaining financial records, processing invoices, and assisting with payroll. This role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Organize and maintain financial documents, ensuring all paperwork is filed correctly

• Process accounts payable and receivable transactions accurately and promptly

• Assist in the preparation of payroll data for submission to third-party providers

• Execute invoice processing and manage the billing system

• Handle credit card management, including reconciling monthly statements

• Support with the implementation of a Purchase Order (PO) system

• Assist with the preparation for annual audits

• Utilize QuickBooks Online and Excel for data entry and other related tasks

• Maintain the scholarship process for billing purposes

• Manage the participant billing, ensuring the process is detailed and efficient. Requirements

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP)

• Expertise in Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experience with Billing processes

• Must possess strong Data Entry skills

• Familiarity with Invoice Processing is needed

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is necessary

• Prior experience in Filing is advantageous

• Ability to handle Scanning Invoices is important

• Experience in Scanning Documents is required

• Basic knowledge of Quickbooks Online is needed

• Experience in Payroll processing is mandatory
