Kachemak Bay Recovery Connection Recovery Community Center Program Manager in Homer, Alaska
The Recovery Community Center (RCC) Program Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the RCC, ensuring it provides a safe and supportive environment for individuals and families seeking or maintaining recovery. The manager oversees culturally relevant, trauma-informed, and strengths-based programming, guided by those with lived recovery experience. Reporting to the KBRC Vice President, the RCC Program Manager serves as a role model, leads activities, and manages support services, adhering to KBRCs resources, grants, contracts, and policies. This position will be physically based in the RCC in downtown Homer, Alaska.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and facilitate a robust program for those in or seeking recovery.
Handle administrative tasks, including report preparation, data analysis, and communication with community partners.
Ensure services like peer support, mutual support meetings, and special events align with contracts and grants.
Develop and maintain a recovery curriculum and event calendar; facilitate regular workshops.
Serve as a role model and assist participants in behavior and relationship development.
Provide crisis intervention and conflict resolution as needed.
Conduct assessments and develop safety plans.
Maintain a clean, well-stocked, and inviting Recovery Community Center.
Support workshop facilitators, volunteers, and interns.
Foster partnerships and collaboration with external service providers.
Supervise Peer Support Specialist staff on-site once hired.
Maintain confidentiality at all times.
Requirements:
3-5 years in a similar role, including program development, supervision, and curriculum creation.
Lived experience with substance use recovery, either personally or through a family member, with comfort in self-disclosure.
Strong program management and reporting experience.
Knowledge of Recovery-Oriented Systems of Care and multiple pathways to recovery.
State of Alaska Certified Peer Support Specialist preferred.
Experience in program development, curriculum creation, and group facilitation.
Experience supervising peer support specialists preferred

Dependability and ability to manage RCC operations.
Knowledge of at-risk behaviors.
Strong boundaries and crisis de-escalation skills.
Ability to serve as a recovery role model.
Ability to enforce policies ensuring participant safety and confidentiality.
Strong relationship-building skills with participants, colleagues, and supervisors.
Leadership in initiating workshops and activities.
Strong writing skills and experience to serve internal and external communications.
Excellent communication skills including demonstrated ability for effective public speaking among a variety of audiences.
Salary and Benefits:
- Dependent on experience - $25.00-$35.00 an hour. This is a 0.75 FTE non-exempt position. 30 hours a week with a weekly schedule of 6 hours a day, Monday through Friday. Flexibility in schedule to adjust hours based on community needs will be prioritized.
