This is a Job Description for a Lead Maintenance Technician in Holly Springs, Mississippi

Summary: Work with DAF Product Development, PACCAR Technical Center, and the PACCAR Engine Company to evaluate software changes, coordinate software testing, and provide feedback to global development team. Will also be responsible for coordinating software implementation related to new product launch and warranty support.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

Work safely to maintain production and quality requirements by performing troubleshooting, installation, routine maintenance, and repair of mechanical manufacturing equipment. Lead the maintenance team. Able to perform essential job functions outside of normal working hours. Responsible for pneumatic, electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic operations of equipment. Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions. Prepares accurate records for preventative maintenance and working with management software for record keeping and reporting metrics. Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt. Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests. Maintains safe and clean working environment by implementing 6S. Complies with all Company and Federal safety procedures, rules, and regulations. Other duties not listed herein but which need to be accomplished to maintain safe and timely day-to-day operations of the plant. Implement, train, and use LOTO standards with the entire maintenance team.

 

Requirements

:

 Associate degree in industrial maintenance technology or related field preferred. Minimum 3-5 years of industrial maintenance experience required. Maintenance operations experience in industrial manufacturing required. Experience with Lean Manufacturing preferred. Requires experience in mechanical, electrical, pneumatics, hydraulics, and PLC's. Familiarity with air compressors, plumbing, electrical/electronic equipment, pneumatics, hydraulics, and heavy manufacturing equipment. Ability to use and maintain a computerized maintenance work order notification system. Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions of the trades involved. Skilled in the care and use of tools and equipment used in the trades involved. Requires strong skills in math, reading, writing, and time management. Metal fabrication skills and welding (mig/tig) experience is a plus, but not required. Ability to work independently of others, as well as with a team to resolve issues. Must be willing and able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required for the job. Strong leadership skills.
