County of Blair Administrative Assistant - Courthouse in Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania

Employee retirement results in our search for an administrative assistant within the Blair County Courthouse location of Adult Parole and Probation. Our hire will provide administrative support to the chief parole and probation officer; organize, plan, and help direct office activities; ensure compliance with federal and state procurement transactions; and support the department in the proper financial execution of its grant awards.

Essential functions will also include gathering and evaluating data with pre-release plans, processing required documentation for parole applications, maintaining files, participating in court hearings regarding denial of parole, completing parole application and release of incarcerated individuals, preparing reports and correspondence, documenting phone calls, and maintaining confidentiality.

Requirements

Qualified applicants must hold a high school diploma or GED and have at least two years’ experience in an administrative role. Working knowledge of the courts, or county, state, or federal government is a plus. Candidates must also have effective communications skills (both verbal and written), abilities to maintain effective interpersonal relations with internal and external customers, attention to detail, comfort and productivity working independently, proficiency with computer programs used to perform essential duties, and ability to work under pressure, handling multiple priorities.
