Job Title: Shipping Clerk

Job Description

As a Shipping Clerk, you will work in a fast-paced factory environment. The role involves using basic power tools, hand tools, and industry-specific tools. You will be responsible for loading and unloading materials, which may require heavy lifting of 50-80 lbs, with team lifting for heavier items. Additionally, you will sort and pack products, prepare them for shipping, and handle the necessary paperwork to track products from manufacture to delivery. You may also need to build crates for shipping items when required.

Responsibilities

• Operate in a fast-paced factory environment.

• Utilize basic power tools, hand tools, and industry-specific tools.

• Load and unload materials, including heavy lifting of 50-80 lbs, with team lifting for heavier items.

• Sort and pack products for shipping.

• Prepare and handle paperwork to trace products from manufacturing to shipping.

• Build crates for shipping items if needed.

Essential Skills

• Experience as a machine operator, shipping and receiving, packing, sorting, and loading/unloading.

• Comfortable working in a manufacturing or industrial environment with machinery.

• Ability to read a tape measure to 1/16th of an inch for quality checking items.

• Proficiency with hand and power tools for building boxes and crates.

• Experience in packing, sorting, warehouse operations, data entry, forklift operation, production, logistics, general labor, or machine attendance.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Must be able to read a tape measure to 1/16 inch.

• Able to lift up to 80 lbs unassisted.

• Minimum of 6 months of work experience in a manufacturing or industrial experience.

Work Environment

You will work in a fast-paced factory environment with fabrication tools and tempering ovens, which can make the facility warmer. We have multiple shift openings: two on the second shift (Sunday – Thursday, 4p-12:30a with a 30-minute lunch) and two on the third shift (Sunday – Thursday, with start times of 9p-6a or 10p-7a, including a one-hour lunch). The first shift operates Monday – Friday, 7a-4p with a one-hour lunch. The starting pay rate is $17.50/hour across all shifts, with a $1 increase upon hire.
