Robert Half Finance & Accounting has partnered with a rapidly growing, industry leading organization in the Toledo area as the look for a solid general Accountant to join their team. As the successful candidate, you will work closely with accounting & finance leadership as you:

• Analyze financial data to support data-driven decision-making processes

• Oversee the administration of sales tax

• Manage accounts payable functions and ensuring timely bank payments

• Reconcile various general ledger accounts and perform monthly journal entries

• Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings

• Work in conjunction with purchasing and operations on inventory transactions and purchase order activities

• Verify expense reports and querying invoices as necessary

• Assist in the preparation of budget forecasts and providing analyses of accounts to produce monthly reports.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will likely possess some combination of

• Experience with GL maintenance & accrual accounting is required

• Accounts Payable experience

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• An ability to adapt to new software platforms & strong Excel skills

• The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment

• A Bachelor's or Associates is preferred, but NOT required with solid experience
