Refrigeration Supervisor - Holland, MI

Job Description

This refrigeration supervisor will initiate, direct, operate, and maintain facility equipment including anhydrous ammonia refrigeration, air compressors, electrical systems, piping, and building maintenance. This position will also be responsible for managing refrigeration technicians and promoting the safe, efficient, and compliant maintenance operation of the facility. This individual will be a proactive leader who is comfortable leading change and can effectively engage with the maintenance team and cross-functional departments.

Responsibilities

• Initiate, direct, operate, and maintain facility equipment including anhydrous ammonia refrigeration, air compressors, electrical systems, piping, and building maintenance.

• Manage maintenance technicians and ensure the safe, efficient, and compliant maintenance operations of the facility.

• Lead and engage with the maintenance team and cross-functional departments to ensure effective collaboration.

• Promote a safe working environment and ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulations.

• Conduct troubleshooting and preventive maintenance on refrigeration and HVAC systems.

• Oversee and manage facility and building maintenance tasks including grounds, roofing, and interior maintenance.

Essential Skills

• 3+ years experience with ammonia-based industrial refrigeration systems.

• 3+ years experience with facility/building maintenance (grounds, roofing, and interior).

• Comfortable working in cold environments as low as -10 degrees.

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

• Refrigeration license.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Project management or construction experience.

• Leadership experience in managing a department for refrigeration.

• Experience in troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.

• EPA Universal certification.

• Experience with refrigeration equipment, HVAC, and air conditioning.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $95000.00 - $100000.00
