Summary
As a Controls Technician I, you will install, calibrate and monitor automated industrial machinery. You will analyze and improve performance parameters of the automated system. You will conduct preventative maintenance and maintain records of maintenance performed, work orders requested and parts requested.
Responsibilities:
Monitor Stand-alone PLC Controller by using various inspection logic
Monitor PLC programs (Mitsubishi/Siemens) developed by vendor using various inspection logic and HMI
Support Engineers for incident follow-up, root cause analysis and documentation
Document control system and equipment configuration changes
Install, maintain and troubleshoot relay logic, inspection flow, control components – relays, limit switches, proximity sensors, solenoids, Servo drives, frequency inverters, linear drives, tachometers and encoders
Troubleshoot various status (I/O boards, encoder, light controller, modules and devices)
Develop and maintain a good working relationship across all levels in the organization
Collaborate with vendors
Complete all safety training, policies and procedures as company required
Follow LGESMI existing cleaning SOP’s during downtime (e.g. line stop, waiting time, etc.), which includes cleaning your designated machine and/or surrounding work area
Maintain cleanliness at work-site in accordance with 5S3R Standards:
Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain
Right Location, Right Quantity, Right Container
Perform additional duties/assignments that may as required
Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED required
Vocational Certificate or Associates Degree preferred or equivalent, relevant experience
Experience
1-2+ years of experience with machinery operation to include automated machines.
Some experience with PLC is preferred but not required
Skills
MS Office Suite
Flexibility with work hours and days (24 hours a day, 7 days a week operation including weekends and holidays)
Position is required to be on-call, including holidays and weekends
Required to wear proper PPE
