Team Driver OTR CDL-A OperatorPOSITION SUMMARY$5000 sign-on bonus for established teams!As a Team Driver OTR CDL-A Operator you are essential to the daily operations of Green Transportation. In this role you will safely operate a tractor-trailer, make regular and frequent trips and deliveries to our customers while upholding the standard of excellence that Green Transportation carries. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSSafely and professionally operating a Class A commercial motor vehicleFollowing guidelines issued by the FMCSA and DOT in accordance with rules and regulations surrounding safe and compliant operation of a commercial motor vehicleConducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections of your vehicle and equipment to ensure proper and legal working order, notifying the maintenance department if any issues need to be addressedPlanning your trip and routing as advised by your Road Pilot Reference guide and provided manifest information for each tripCommunicating with dispatch on a consistent basis via email and phone as to provide updates on your load status, location, and any other requested informationContacting external business partners to coordinate safe and proper procedures of loading and unloading the vehicleInspecting freight upon departure, arrival, and delivery as well as monitoring and/or assisting in the removal of freight to the tail of the trailer as neededMaintaining procedural paperwork of daily duties ie. bills of lading and proof of delivery paperwork, maintaining your trip-sheet information and collecting fuel receiptsWhen adverse conditions occur or may occur, maintain contact with dispatch and operations as to receive guidance on next stepsSafely unload freight both palletized and non-palletized whether assisted or unassisted as necessaryFollow instructions/guidance of upper management regardless of personal opinions or beliefsServe as a great example of the Green Culture by understanding, and consistently following, and maintaining the policies and procedures of Green TransportationMust demonstrate the ability to be discrete, prompt and professionalCommunicate effectively with team membersExperience filling out and retaining BOL's and POD'sSupport Green Transportation's values, principles, vision, and missionOther duties as may be assigned MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSValid CDL-A with 2 years of verifiable DOT CDL-A Tractor-Trailer driving experienceMust be able to support the Green Transportation culture with a focus on teamwork and a commitment to serviceStrong oral and written communication skillsDemonstrated ability to achieve high performance goals and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentUS Citizenship requiredPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSExperience with Transportation and Logistics Knowledge of FMCSA rules and regulationsKnowledge of DOT regulations and guidelinesExperience with Tractor-trailer operations COMMUNICATIONEffectively and regularly communicate with the Green Transportation Operations Manager and Operations SupervisorSupport Green Transportation's values, principles, vision, and mission PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSLift up to 50lbs frequently to occasionallyLoad and manipulate manual pallet jacks with palletized freight frequentlyStand/walk/drive up to 14 hours per day Bend and Twist frequentlyReach/work above shoulders frequentlyFine manipulations frequently Gross manipulation frequentlyPush/pull frequentlyOperate a tractor-trailerPAY RATE & SCHEDULEExperienced Drivers averaging $1700-$1900/week per driverMileage rate based on experience$60 to the truck per outbound delivery stop$40 to the truck per pick/drop inbound after the first pick-upOutbound detention rate to the truck $20 per half hour after 2.5 hours after appointment timeInbound detention rate to the truck $10 per hour after 5 hours after appointment time$200 additional pay to the truck for two-day deliveries for planned layovers during outbound deliveries for our sister companyThis position typically leaves out Saturday or Sunday, making deliveries o
