Job Title: Automation Project Manager

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Automation Project Manager for a 6-month contract-to-hire position. You will oversee and manage the team's projects, ensuring progress and maintaining customer communication. You must have 5+ years of experience in a similar role within an automation or industrial environment. Your primary responsibilities will include leading project planning, execution, and completion, utilizing Gantt charts for project scheduling, and managing resources to meet goals and deadlines. You will work closely with engineering, assembly, and sales teams to ensure smooth project transitions and successful outcomes. Additionally, you will facilitate regular project reviews, maintain transparent communication between internal teams and customers, oversee project budgets, track expenses, and meet financial targets while mitigating risks. You will also coordinate Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and site visits to ensure installations meet safety and quality standards, including NEC, NFPA regulations.

Hard Skills

• BSEE in engineering, project management, or technical field

• 5+ years of project management experience in automation or industrial environment

• PMP certification

• Experience managing multiple projects, teams, and customers

• Familiarity with NEC and NFPA regulations

Soft Skills

• Strong customer interface and communication skills

• Proactive risk mitigation

• Team coordination

• Financial tracking and budgeting

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a hybrid position requiring some days on-site in Holland, Michigan and some days remote.

Work Environment

Updated and new building, expanding soon.
