JOB SUMMARY

As the Loss Prevention/Security Officer, your role involves monitoring Tarbell Management Group's facilities utilizing electronic surveillance equipment. You will be responsible for upholding the company's mission and vision, ensuring excellence in our markets. Maintaining confidentiality is paramount, and you will be accountable for safeguarding the patrons, staff, and company assets through surveillance and any subsequent necessary actions. Given the dynamic nature of the business, we may modify some of the responsibilities of this position. Besides the standard responsibilities of a Loss Prevention/Security Officer, the Supervisor will also be responsible for covering the Loss Prevention/Security Manager's position when unavailable and requested.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • The Loss Prevention/Security Officer Supervisor will be responsible for monitoring TMG facilities via electronic surveillance equipment.

  • maintaining confidentiality.

  • Protect the safety of the patrons, staff, and company assets through electronic surveillance and any subsequent necessary actions.

  • utilize observational resources to observe activities in all areas and document activities that rise to the level of concern, such as:

  • Any deviation or issues of non-compliance from the properties’ policies and procedures.

  • Any unusual or suspicious activity in or on the perimeter of the property.

  • Any unauthorized access to sensitive areas of the property.

  • Any issues that may affect the property’s public image.

  • Any liability issues; and

  • Any other issue that may be of importance to the Surveillance Manager, Shift Supervisor, Property Management, or the General Manager.

  • Responsible for supporting all TMG-related company leadership in accident/incident reporting and assisting in preparing appropriate reports.

  • Maintaining a log of the routine tasks performed within the Surveillance room.

  • Observing all internal cash asset transfers and escorts, as applicable.

  • Other duties assigned by the Loss Prevention and Security Manager.

  • Provide proper building access credentials and provide new associates of TMG with their ID Badge.

  • Being the liaison for law enforcement and operational management to communicate and respond to emergencies.

  • Ensure the Ohserase Manufacturing facility is secured at all times and can identify unauthorized access to the building and provide the entire building a fire watch position in the event of an emergency.

    SUCCESS FACTORSWe will know the Loss Prevention/Security Officer Supervisor is successful when:

  • Their reports, journals, and logs are prepared accurately, timely, and with a high standard of quality according to their manager.

  • Complete the tasks the LP/Security Manager assigned in the appropriate time allotted.

  • Report to work on time according to the associate handbook.

  • Log all their incident reports accurately and timely in the provided software for reporting.

  • Successfully secured and maintained fire watch for the Ohserase Manufacturing building during their shift.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous security/surveillance experience preferred.

  • Knowledge of surveillance equipment is preferred.

  • Must have a valid Driver’s License with no major infractions.

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Concentration and manual dexterity are required to operate equipment.

  • Aptitude for accuracy and detail in their work.

  • Shift work is required as well as an ability to sit for long periods.

  • Operations are 24/7.

  • Able to work in extreme inclement weather during emergencies.

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
