BCforward will send official notice ahead of a confirmed start date.Expected Duration: 12 months contract to hire.Job Type: TEMP TO HIRE], [HYBRID]Pay Range: $66 - $71Please note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.).Job Description:Job Title: Network Security EngineerLocation: Jersey City, NJ (Hybrid)Duration: 12 Months Contract to hire* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). * Minimum of 5 years of experience in network engineering and security, with a focus on SD-WAN and SSE technologies. * Strong knowledge of SD-WAN solutions from leading vendors (e.g., Cisco Viptela, VMware VeloCloud, Fortinet, Versa Networks). Versa experience is a plus. * Proficiency in SSE solutions from leading vendors (e.g., Cisco, Palo Alto Networks, Zscaler, etc.). * Proficiency in network protocols, routing, and security technologies (e.g., VPN, firewalls, IDS/IPS, etc.). * Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and cloud security best practices. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNP, CISSP, SD-WAN Specialist, SSE Specialist) are a plus.Advanced knowledge in the following key areas: Hardware Architecture (performance testing, monitoring, operations) Hardware Benchmarking (Agile, program managements, network management) Design (compliance, security) Network Engineering (planning, provision) Proficient in more than one specific infrastructure technology Advanced understanding of best practices and policies * Demonstrated ability to conceptualize, launch and deliver multiple IT projects on time and within budget * Ability to articulate to more experienced management a technical strategy in clear, concise, understandable terms * Must be able to assemble technology solutions and effectively define and implement a working architecture * Technical certifications as requiredBenefits:BCforward offers all eligible employees a comprehensive benefits package including, but not limited to major medical, HSA, dental, vision, employer-provided group life, voluntary life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, and 401k.About BCforward:Founded in 1998 on the idea that industry leaders needed a professional service, and workforce management expert, to fuel the development and execution of core business and technology strategies, BCforward is a Black-owned firm providing unique solutions supporting value capture and digital product delivery needs for organizations around the world.
