: Certification Manager (CER Manager)

Tasks – Activities – Responsibilities

Our job performance is within the framework of the BV Quality Assurance System, QHSE policy, Codes of Ethics and BV Group’s policies and procedures.

Lead the Certification Department; formulate, implement and coordinate policies regarding certification operation; design and manage methods for maximizing current and future procedures; be responsible for achievement annual sales objective and developing new business; responsible for-Profit results of the BU.

  1. General Responsibilities :
  • Implement the strategies and policies of Bureau Veritas Certification (BVC) in Vietnam

  • Responsible for organization and operation of BVC in Vietnam

  • Overall responsible for the certification of BVC in Vietnam including training to meet the BMS and other requirements like accreditation and /or local authorities.

  • Report the performance activities to CER about the department's activities.

  • Define, from time to time, responsibilities of each Operations Manager, Technical Manager and Supervisor.

  1. Operational Responsibilities :

  2. Manage audit activities, contract execution and performance of auditors to ensure the quality of services and in line with the Company implementation procedures

  3. Ensure performance of the yearly operation budget, monitor the profit margin of the BU and take necessary measurement to make the best possibility of the budget

  4. Organize and chair a monthly and quarterly meeting with CER management team to review the operation of the Department.

  5. Business Development

  6. Lead the Business Development function to ensure the achievement of annual sales objective of the BU

  7. Responsible for organisation and implementation of sales and marketing activities, including KAM

  8. Prepare for bidding tenders submission to the CE for approval

  9. Ensure performance of the yearly operation budget, explore and develop new business

  10. Organize and chair a monthly and quarterly meeting with CER management team to review the BD of the Department

  11. Customer’s Care Responsibilities :

  12. Meeting with clients for any matters relating to services provided by CER Department as and when required by Operations Managers and/or Supervisors

  13. Responsible for dealing with customer’s claim or dispute that could involve the professional, civil or criminal liability of Bureau Veritas or any member of its personnel according to Bureau Veritas Procedure.

  14. Reporting Responsibilities :

  15. Prepare for submission to the Chief Executive monthly reports, with KPI of the operation of CER Department in a month

  16. Prepare any other report as required by Chief Executive or Business Line

  17. Responsibilities On HR & Administration

  18. Define, prepare & review & propose recruitment & training plans to HR & Chief Executive and implement such plans in conjunction with HR Department

  1. Prepare materials & training tools and provide general training (BVC in general, BVC handbook policy, BVC services) for new CER staff, in cooperation with technical training done by Technical Manager

  2. Responsible for providing of resources for performance of CER Department

  3. Decide, in consultation with Chief Executive, any increase of salary & bonus based on performance results and attitude of CER staffs.

  4. Receive & resolve any complaint and/or argument of CER staffs which may have with colleagues or managers

  5. Approve day-off and annual leave of Technical Manager, Operations Managers & Supervisors

  6. Approve timesheet of Technical Manager & Operations Managers

  7. Review & carry out appraisal of performance (PMP) of Operations Managers, Technical Manager and Supervisors.

Candidate Profile

  • University degree in the relevant technical field

  • Working experience > 10 years

  • Experience in QMS > 5 years

  • Have IRCA (IATCA) certificate - lead auditor courses

  • Must have auditing experience for the purposes of lead auditor qualification.
