Sea Pines Resort Marketing Assistant in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina
Advanced English skills required.One free meal per shift.Criminal Background Check is required.Overtime may be offered at a rate of $24/hr.Housing is provided.Transportation is provided.In this role, the marketing assistant is expected to become familiar with overall Resort operations, as well as the marketing department and its responsibilities. As part of the responsibilities, this candidate will effectively communicate and work with employees in different departments across the Resort.This position is responsible for:Printing and cutting collateral produced in-house, including restaurant menus, check-in materials, fliers, etc. Collateral production will involve a commercial grade printer, cutter, laminator and folding machine. Food & beverage menu updates and reprints are needed on a regular basis and include all of The Sea Pines Resort’s dining outlets:Links, an American GrillFraser’sCoastOcean LoungeSurfside MarketQuarterdeckHarboursideHarbour Town Bakery & CaféSpecialty & Holiday MenusInn & Club at Harbour Town in-room dining menusFulfilling resort-wide requests for Sea Pines Resort collateral, including fliers, brochures, check-in materials, etc.Managing and monitoring inventory and supplies for in-house printing materials and collateral; reorder collateral, paper and supplies when neededProviding content and editing of weekly check-in piece for arriving guestsCreating monthly resort calendar for Human ResourcesOrdering new products and supplies for the department.Coordinating fulfillment requests for printed material for all other resort departments including The Sea Pines Resort Welcome Center front desk, The Inn & Club at Harbour Town, The Sea Pines Resort Recreation Department, Harbour Town Golf Links, Heron Point by Pete Dye, and Atlantic Dunes, and all of The Sea Pines Resort’s restaurant operations.Assist other team members within the marketing department with day-to-day projects.Coordinating and ordering business cards for entire resortWill be trained to use Adobe InDesign to update fliersTraining: The marketing intern will be trained on how to use the professional-grade printer and print server including Fiery and Command WorkStation. Additionally, they will regularly use and become familiar with the commercial-grade paper cutter and laminator. The intern will become an expert on paper types, weights, sizes and trim capacities. Intern will work with Xerox to manage regular maintenance of the printer or when issues arise. Expectations:Should be able to successfully manage a project from start to finish.Proven time management skills, in order to be able to plan and execute the steps of the project in a timely and efficient manner.Strong communication skills, including verbal and written/email communication etiquette with internal customers and vendors.Show attention to detail, to be able to execute projects successfully and up to the company standards.Multi-tasking and prioritizing skills, knowing how to prioritize various tasks and projects depending on their importance LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as occupancy forecasts, work instructions, safety rules, daily logs, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively, efficiently, and courteously to guests, vendors, and employees of organization. Ability to converse in foreign language very desirable.REASONING ABILITY: Strong organizational skills needed along with patience in dealing with a diverse customer base. Strong memory retention skills needed along with time management. Decisions related to guest problems or needs must be made quickly and effectively based on a thorough knowledge of rates, accommodations, facilities, and Resort guidelines. Must be responsible and able to react quickly and effectively. Is sufficiently flexible to adjust to a dynamic work environment in handling requests in a courteous, friendly, and efficient manner.SOCIAL SKILLS: Ability to interact effectively directly and by telephone with guests of diverse ages, backgrounds, and interests. Must have excellent communications and guest-service skills and be capable of handling effectively difficult guests and resolving guest complaints. Good listening skills are needed to facilitate problem solving.
