Job Title: Facilities Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are hiring a full-time maintenance technician at a manufacturing facility in Hillsboro, OR. This is a great opportunity for someone with 2+ years of mechanical maintenance experience in either a semiconductor environment or a similar manufacturing setting. The role involves performing preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment, including fluid changes, routine parts replacements, and rebuilding pumps and valves. You will also learn to service and repair wastewater scrubbers and cooling towers. You will be partnered with a lead maintenance technician for guidance on more complex repairs when needed. The schedule is Monday - Friday, 7am - 3:30pm.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on industrial furnaces, hydraulic systems, pumps, valves, scrubbers, and cooling towers.

• Monitor pH systems and wastewater systems.

• Assist with painting the interior and exterior of the facility and parking lot during the summer.

• Prep plumbing and pipes for potential freezing weather during the winter.

Essential Skills

• Mechanical troubleshooting

• Experience with pumps, furnaces, wastewater, scrubbers, industrial machines, semiconductor machines, cooling towers, and valves

• Knowledge of basic hand and power tools

• Strong communication skills

• Ability to climb ladders, walk/stand for the majority of the shift, and lift 35-50 lbs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with electrical, plumbing, mechanical repair, pneumatics, industrial wiring, and motors

• Ability to speak up if something does not look or sound right and ask for help when needed

• Safety boots that cover your ankles

Work Environment

Industrial manufacturing environment. Very clean, but there are furnaces, wastewater systems, and some cleanrooms. The facility is not large.
