Brittany Bui with Robert Half is offering an exciting opportunity for a Controller in the banking industry, located in Hillsboro, Oregon. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the accounting and accounts payable departments, managing general accounting functions and controls, and actively contributing to strategic planning and financial plans, projects, and reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Ensuring the accuracy of the organization's financial records and accounts in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

• Timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

• Development, implementation, and maintenance of accounting policies and procedures to ensure appropriate internal controls are in place across the organization

• Overseeing the accounts payable function

• Managing payroll and tax compliance and reporting

• Collaborating with external and internal auditors, regulators, and other stakeholders on audits of accounting-related matters

• Coordinating with other business units and operations to ensure accurate and on-time monthly close and reporting

• Developing and managing the budget for the controllership organization, ensuring that spending aligns with strategic goals and objectives

• Leading the accounting and accounts payable teams, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations

• Maintaining strong relationships with credit unions, suppliers, legal representatives, and clients

• Proactively evaluating emerging accounting rules and regulations

• Collaborating with various company departments on projects and providing accounting advice, incorporating accounting considerations into projects and initiatives.

Requirements • Demonstrated proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Extensive experience in managing all Accounting Functions

• Prior experience in Auditing

• Familiarity with Budget Processes

• Expertise in Financial Statements Consolidation and Monthly Financial Statements

• Strong background in Financial Reporting

• Capabilities in Compliance Reporting

• Ability to Provide Leadership to a team

• Proven track record in Supervisory Management

• CPA certification is mandatory

• Thorough understanding of GAAP Accounting

• Experience in Public Accounting Audit

• Minimum of 15 years of experience in a similar role within the banking industry
