Audio Applications Engineer
We are a passionate and dedicated team of world-class analog, mixed-signal, digital and RF engineers committed to building the next generation of ASoCs.
This position is for an experienced and equally passionate Staff Electrical Engineer Audio Applications interested in excellent personal and professional growth opportunities.
This role is expected to be in the field of Application Engineering. As an Applications Engineer you will work with a dedicated team validating new SOCs with embedded software, composed of analog and digital circuits, as well as validating systems utilizing new SOCs in audio and wireless applications. Your responsibilities will include developing and enhancing silicon system Application systems. As an applications engineer the job responsibilities include,
Testing the silicon for the intended applications in the lab.
Taking measurements using the Audio Precision or similar test equipment’s.
Analyze the test data and confirming the target technical specs for the datasheets.
Writing test documents, scripts and sometimes FW to automate as much testing as possible.
Writing and reviewing the datasheets and Application Notes.
Reviewing the customer Designs as well as debugging the hardware.
Customer interactions and presenting demos.
You will work closely with SOC designers, Product engineers and other team members to define, develop and execute Application tests. You will also work with cross functional teams in the lab to understand and debug chip issues.
Qualifications
Proven track record in system Application with mixed-signal devices
8+ years (BSEE) or 6+ years (MSEE) of relevant industry experience, ideally in the field of audio
Understand Digital Audio principles
Experienced in producing detailed technical reports and documentation
Professional, open, and highly self-motivated attitude
Hands-on lab interest/experience.
Experience with Audio Precision Test Equipment will be a plus
Knowledge of switching power circuits or amplifiers will be a plus

Preferred Qualifications
Experience in Schematic capture and PCB Design
Skilled in Software and Firmware development (including Python and/or Labview)
Proven track record in silicon
Industry experience in Radio Frequency (RF)
The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD $110,600 - $210,600 per year . Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location.
