Highland County Community Action Organization, Inc Wellness Activities Coordinator in Hillsboro, Ohio
Highland County Community Action Organization Inc. has full time, 40 hour a week grant position available for a Wellness Activities Coordinator. This is a highly responsible administrative position for a one-year grant period, but may be longer depending on the sustainability of the program/grant. Provides support and advocacy to clients who have dual-diagnosis of mental health and substance use disorders. The goal is to support and assist clients in identifying a healthy support system, prevent criminal justice involvement, and provide coaching and guidance for a healthy and active lifestyle. This position will work with HCCAO programs, partners and the client's treatment support system to provide activities and resources to support a healthy lifestyle for recovery. The Wellness Coordinator will also link the client other needed resources to support recovery. The Coordinator will have personal experience with addiction either themselves, family or close friend. Familiarity with local events, activities, recreational businesses, and positive, healthy environments that would support recovery is recommended.
The primary work site will be at Highland County Community Action at the Greenfield and Hillsboro locations. Equipment used includes general types of office equipment.
Minimum qualifications for this position are a High School diploma or equivalent. Preferred certification as a Peer Supporter. Familiarity with local events, activities, recreational businesses, and positive, healthy environments that would support recovery is strongly recommended.
Applicants must have compassion for county residents and the desire to be a part of an agency that is making a difference in our county. Applicant must have a valid Ohio Driver's License and be insurable under the agency fleet insurance policy and must be able to bend, stoop, and lift over 40 pounds. This position will report to Highland County Community Action Organization, in Hillsboro, Ohio.
