Job Title: Laser Machine Operator

Job Description

Candidates will be responsible for operating either a Flat Laser or tube laser cutting machine on a daily basis. They will be working off of blueprints to set up the machine and run the material through the laser.

Responsibilities

• Operate Flat Laser or tube laser cutting machine.

• Work off of blueprints to set up the machine.

• Run material through the laser efficiently and accurately.

• Ensure machine operation follows safety protocols.

• Maintain and troubleshoot equipment as needed.

Essential Skills

• 1+ years of experience operating machines in an industrial manufacturing environment.

• 1+ years of experience reading blueprints and utilizing basic mathematical skills.

• 1+ year experience utilizing CNC.

• Ability to effectively and efficiently read a tape measure.

• Good understanding of math, geometry, axis, and angles.

• Ability to lift 40+ pounds.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High School Diploma.

• Job shop experience.

• BOM/Purchase order experience.

• Fabrication experience/welding.

• Press Brake experience.

• Fitting and welding experience (MIG).

• Laser cutting experience.

Work Environment

This position is in a job shop manufacturing environment. The facility is not climate controlled but is well-insulated and tolerable in both winter and summer months. The second shift hours are Monday-Thursday from 2:30 PM to 1 AM with overtime starting at Noon on Friday. The first shift hours are 4 AM to 2:30 PM Monday-Thursday with overtime on Friday morning.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hilliard, Ohio.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00
