Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Sr. DevSecOps Engineer to support one of our largest federal clients in the state of Utah. This person will be developing next-gen modeling, analytic, and simulation software for projects critical to national security. It involves IT configuration and certification for spatial data systems and project execution support across planning, restoration, and modernization phases.

The role combines DevSecOps (focusing on secure developer velocity and continuous delivery) and SRE (software automation, application reliability, monitoring releases, and maintenance). Key responsibilities include CI/CD, web server management, alerting and monitoring, software pipeline building, troubleshooting, SDLC optimizations, scripting, automation, networking configuration, security reconciliation, documentation, and configuration management.

Compensation - $54.33/hr. to $70.06/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.

Skills and Requirements

Progressive experience as either a DevSecOps, GitOps, or Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) and their methodologies.

 7yrs+ of progressive experience in configuring, deploying and maintaining the following containerization systems.

o Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, or AWS Cloud Formation

 Strong experience developing and deploying on images and containers within Linux systems.

 Understanding of utilizing scripting languages for automation purposes.

o Python, C# (Unity), Javascript, or ReacJS

 Proficiency with Git.

 Experience in performance tuning and root cause analysis using OS and application metrics

 Management of Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Configuration as Code (CaC), and Security as Code (SaC).

 Troubleshooting build issues, script failures, and network/system errors.

 Familiarity with NIST Controls, DFARS, and Agile Development methodologies. Experience with deploying or administrating in either Cloud One, Platform One Big Bang, or AWS GovCloud.

 Experience with Rancher, Harbor, or ArgoCD.

 Leading or managing a team of 3+ developers or engineers.

 Active Clearance.

 Active Security+ or any IAT Level 2 certification.

 Bachelors or Advanced Degree (Masters / Ph.D.) in STEM or related field.

o Degree in either Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, Chemistry. null
