Assignment Details: -IT Systems Engineer Lead- Ping Developer
• 12# month assignment
• Remote – Candidates must be willing to work ET hours. Expected to work within core business hours, and must not exceed 40 hours/week.
For this contractor assignment, the individual is responsible for ensuring infrastructure availability and supporting technical infrastructure, platforms, and systems that underpin business capabilities. This assignment involves creating and maintaining software programs, components or applications in Java or C# to extend and integrate these systems.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
• This role involves working on projects and delivering solutions.
• It also includes troubleshooting issues to maintain system performance and availability without disrupting production.
• It includes participating in business recovery and continuity processes as well as recommending procedural changes, and testing recovery processes.
• The engineer collaborates with hardware and software vendors to resolve issues and maintain support relationships, while also deploying, configuring, and supporting infrastructure, which involves managing environment changes and procuring necessary hardware and software.
• Utilizing extensive technical skills, the engineer monitors infrastructure to identify improvement areas and recommends solutions to eliminate vulnerabilities.
• Additionally, this role involves developing processes, tools, and techniques to optimize system availability and readiness, and maintaining process documentation.
Required skills:
• Strong experience with PingOne and PingFederate.
• Strong experience in developing applications using C#, Java, and JavaScript.
• Experience implementing Multi-factor Authentication.
• Proficiency in deploying and managing Web Applications on Windows and Linux.
• Strong listening, verbal and written communications skills.
Preferred skills:
• Experience working with security protocols and standards created to meet regulations such as PCI, SOX or similar.
• Experience implementing IAM best practices.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex security issues.
• Experience in optimizing authentication and authorization processes.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with other IT professionals.
• Experience in documenting security configurations and processes.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Associate's Degree or higher in an Information Technology discipline, Math or other related field of study and a minimum of six years working with operating system hardware and/or software components in a large IT environment with many categories of devices, infrastructures and operating systems.
In lieu of a degree, a minimum of eight years related experience working with operating system hardware and/or software components in a large IT environment with many categories of devices, infrastructures and operating systems may be accepted.
