MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES
Collaborate with product designers and developers to understand upholstery requirements for furniture prototypes.
Execute upholstery tasks, including fabric cutting, sewing, padding, and fitting materials onto furniture frames.
Interpret design specifications and ensure accurate execution of upholstery techniques to meet quality and aesthetic standards.
Experiment with different materials, textures, and techniques to optimize comfort, durability, and visual appeal.
Create upholstery patterns.
Contribute insights and suggestions to improve the functionality, durability, and aesthetics of furniture designs.
Maintain an organized workspace, ensuring efficient inventory management of upholstery materials and tools.
All other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION REQUIRED:
A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
REQUIREMENTS
Proven experience as an Upholster or similar role, preferably in a product development or furniture manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in upholstery techniques, such as fabric cutting, sewing, stapling, and fitting materials onto furniture frames.
Proficiency in upholstery pattern development..
Strong understanding of different upholstery materials, textiles, and their applications.
Ability to interpret design specifications and translate them into high-quality upholstery work.
Attention to detail and precision in executing upholstery tasks to achieve desired outcomes.
Creativity and willingness to experiment with various materials and techniques to enhance furniture designs.
Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage inventory of upholstery materials efficiently.
Strong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with designers, developers, and other team members.

Candidate must be able to lift, carry, push & pull up to 25 lbs and capable of operating office equipment. Position may occasionally require moderate lifting (25-45 lbs). Use of lifting aids or partner lifts are required per policy and procedures.
Manual dexterity and foot/hand/eye coordination is necessary to control industrial material handling equipment and vehicles.
Subject to fluctuating temperatures within in the work facility, as impacted by the weather.
