Plumber Helper

Pay $15-$24 p/hr

Job Description

We are seeking 2 helpers to assist with two separate projects, focusing on fixture installation at a new hospital being built in Hickory, NC. This role involves very detailed tasks such as drilling holes in tile floors, shower trim installation, and hooking up sinks and faucet drains. The work is precise and requires a high level of attention to detail, with no time allocated for training on basic skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with fixture installation including drilling holes in tile floors, shower trim, and hooking up sinks and faucet drains.

• Work under the guidance of a Foreman to ensure proper installation of waste and vent lines.

• Measure and cut materials for waste and vent lines installation in the subfloor of the building.

• Supervise the installation of copper lines.

Essential Skills

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

• Proficient use of a tape measure.

• Experience with Pro Press and Mega press fittings is a plus.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in plumbing, construction, and as an apprentice.

• Knowledge of cast iron and copper materials.

Work Environment

The project is located at a large multi-phase, multi-building campus in Davidson. There are numerous contractors on site, and parking is not available on the premises. Candidates will need to park down the street and get shuttled in. Please note that candidates must pack a lunch every day as leaving the site is not permitted.

This is a Contract position based out of HICKORY, North Carolina.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $24.00/hr.
