Job Title: Warehouse Associate

Job Description

As a Warehouse Associate, you will be responsible for operating a sit-down forklift, performing various assembly and warehouse duties, and utilizing RF scan guns to pull products. You must be comfortable with heights and able to read and interpret product prints and catalogs. You will also use measuring devices, record assembly-related data, and maintain equipment according to facility maintenance procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Operate sit-down forklift (5% of the job)

  • Comfortable working at heights

  • Operate reach truck and pull purchase orders

  • Utilize RF scan gun to pull product

  • Perform various assembly and warehouse duties including saws, fitting assembly, crimper, assembly lathe, pressure tester, flush booth, and air-powered tools

  • Prepare assembled products for shipment to customers

  • Conduct cycle counting and physical inventory

  • Use various computer-based programs (Bill of Ladings, small package manifest, PC type applications, mainframe type applications)

  • Read and interpret product prints and catalogs

  • Use measuring devices such as calipers and tapes for measurement of length

  • Record assembly-related data on assembly paperwork and/or in computer-based programs

  • Maintain all equipment according to facility maintenance procedures

  • Perform physical activities such as standing, bending, stooping, twisting, and lifting up to 40 pounds

Essential Skills

  • Experience with RF scan guns

  • Experience operating forklifts

  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds

  • High School diploma or GED

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in manufacturing and warehouse environments

  • Knowledge of hose fabrication, production, machine operation, and hand tools

Work Environment

The facility is located in Hiawatha, Iowa, with around 100 people on the production and warehouse floor. The company specializes in making parts for the OPM industry. The work environment is clean, temperature-controlled, and requires wearing shorts, steel-toed shoes, and a T-shirt. The first shift runs from 6am to 2:30pm with overtime starting at 4am, and the second shift runs from 2:30pm to 11pm with overtime extending to 1am.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.34 - $19.34/hr.
