Position Summary:

Researches, prepares, reviews and reconciles financial statements and reports. Analyzes and mitigates compliance risk/errors of a complex nature. Identifies and communicates cost collection requirements while developing, implementing and maintaining cost accounting structure/systems, tools, data and related realignment activities. Supports the development and deployment of complex changes to accounting tools and processes

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides specialized or general analysis support in various accounting and finance functions such as Inventory Accounting, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Accounting, Financial Analysis and the like.

  • Plan, evaluate, and improve the efficiency of business processes and procedures to enhance speed, quality, efficiency, and output.

  • Ensure effective, collaborative communication with internal business partners, management and external suppliers to ensure accurate disbursement processing.

  • Participate in the month end financial close process by conducting account analysis

  • Prepares specialized reports and analyses. Submits recommendations for improved operations.

  • Assists in the implementation of new accounting systems

  • Reviews and analyzes journal vouchers, accounting classifications and other accounting/financial statements, records and reports.

  • Prepares analysis of accounts; prepares month-end reports.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

    Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):

  • 2-4 years of related work experience (4-6 years preferred)

  • Bachelor’s Degree – Accounting/Finance or related field of study

  • Experience in lieu of education General Accounting

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of accuracy.

  • Strong leadership skills and demonstrated ability to motivate in a team environment

  • Ability to partner with groups and cross functionally to meet or exceed department’s goals

  • Identify root cause for issues and implement appropriate solutions

  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities

  • Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills

  • Ability communicate effectively both verbally and written

  • Experience in related industry (aerospace, preferred)

    Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Education:Master’s Degree – Accounting/Finance or related field of study, preferred

  • 4-6 years relevant work experience (preferred)

  • CPA/Public Accounting Experience/Public Company Experience (preferred)

  • Experience with SAP
