Provides engineering support to upstream operations, small to medium capital projects, and turnarounds.

The EMED Facilities Engineering team is accountable for the execution of Brownfield/Greenfield Small Capital Engineering Projects within the business unit. This role will be both Projects and Operations Support within the FE team working on the Tamar offshore platform as well as other assets such as AOT, DVS, ECS as needed, it would be considered the Engineering and technical point of contact between all these assets and the EMED FE Team liaison with the other EMED departments offshore and onshore. This role will require Operations support FE and Small Capital Project Management skills.

Job responsibilities include:

  • Serve as the engineering and technical point of contact for the onshore / offshore facilities

  • Coordinates onshore /offshore construction and complex maintenance support vendors to ensure the highest level of safety, environmental, quality, & regulatory performance.

  • Lead acceptance process on the onshore / offshore facility during commissioning scope

  • Organizes and leads cross-functional teams to address complex issues or technical activities

  • Collaborates with operations, maintenance, & construction personnel to identify, develop & implement onshore / offshore projects

  • Verifies onshore / offshore equipment is installed and operates within company specifications, applicable regulations, industry codes, & Recognized and Generally Accepted Good Engineering Practices (RAGAGEP)

  • Develops and reviews relevant engineering and construction execution documents such as P&IDs, Construction Execution Workpacks, Risk Assessments, Piping Isometrics, Execution Schedules, Commissioning, Startup & Operations Procedures

  • Responsible, with the rest of the FE team, for the Management of Change process on the projects

  • Works in collaboration with stakeholders to clearly define project scope and objectives during the project development phase

  • Reviews EPC Contractor deliverables and ensure consistency with Design Specification for assigned facilities

  • Drives project execution schedules within operating requirements and company business objectives

  • Monitors project financial performance within planned company budget and overall business outcomes

  • Leads Facility system optimization efforts, defect elimination, and root cause analysis investigations

Requirements:

  • Mechanical/chemical/energy engineer or any other relevant degree

  • Up to 5 years of experience in a similar role in an industrial facility - an advantage

  • Willing to work on a platform - constituting 30% of the job

  • Proficient in both spoken and written English

  • Initiative and assertiveness, constant desire to learn
