Job Location: Hershey, PA The Senior Brand Manager, Refreshment Portfolio is the key leadership position for Hershey’s mighty gum and mint portfolio in the US. This Senior Brand Manager is a part of a one-manager brand team that manages a full-P&L and end-to end ownership in the Gum and Mint segment. This leader will guide our flagship Ice Breakers Franchise (#1 in the Mint category; #3 Hershey Company US franchise in retail sales), as well as the Bubble Yum, and Breath Savers portfolio. This role has direct oversight of 1 Associate Brand Manager plus 1 Brand Analysts and reports to the Director of Sweets and Refreshment. The Senior Brand Manager, Refreshment Portfolio is responsible for translating strategic direction from senior management into a set of concrete strategies and plans. The job requires strategic skills, leadership, and a highly developed set of marketing and general management skills that can translate into successful short and long-term sales, profit, and share results. They must have a keen view of the external environment including a) general trends impacting the category and business b) competitive assessment and c) an understanding of both consumers and customers. * The Senior Brand Manager, Refreshment Portfolio must be effective at:* · Developing and presenting recommendations to senior management · Superior strategic, annual, and marketing planning and periodic re-planning on the business · External and internal assessments of the business environment, competitors, customers and market trends, and implications to their business · Overall business knowledge and holistic general management approach · Demonstrated strength in leadership skills to drive coordination with other functional areas · Outstanding analytical abilities · Demonstrated ability to be accountable for sales and income results · Strong verbal and written communicator to wide breadth of audiences · Lifelong learner and strong people developer * Requirements* · At least 6 years of progressive experience in marketing, brand management, or product management in the consumer-packaged goods industry, preferably in a food category · MBA preferred #LI-AM1 The Hershey Company is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
