Job Location: Hershey, PA Preferred * Role Summary:* The Analyst Transportation is a key part of the Transportation Operations team tasked with driving process & capability improvements across both CMG and Salty Snack’s transportation function. The position requires collaboration with internal stakeholders, 3PL transportation planning provider, carriers, and distribution center partners to deliver & improve enterprise service & on-time delivery targets through project-based work & daily operations management. * Responsibilities:* •Provide guidance & oversite of assigned distribution centers transportation functions; ensuring trailer availability, on time pick-up, on time delivery, all at a reasonable and balanced cost. •Manage & provide guidance to facilitate issue resolutions related to Hershey facility deliveries, pickups at vendor locations and/or issues with Hershey contracted carriers; issues may occur between 3PL, Hershey customers, Hershey Global Shared Services, Vendor/Suppliers and/or Transportation Carrier Partners •Generate, recommend and/or implement suggestions for continuous improvement & new capabilities, tools, or systems related to transportation function (e.g. efficient processing of orders, carrier selection, data flow, customer issue resolution, communication between 3PL Logistics Solution Provider and Hershey, distribution operations, internal shipments, alliance partner, e-commerce). •Transportation ownership of daily systems clean-up and responsible for shipment schedule smoothing if necessary, making best decisions available with on hand information. •Standardize ways of working with carriers, distribution centers, and Hershey customer service. * Qualifications:* •Proven data mining and data analysis skills •Proficiency in or ability to quickly learn how to use multiple data sources including BW, SAP, and WMS and TMS systems •Proficiency in MS Office applications including Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint •Knowledge of supply chain operations •Strong financial and business mindset •Experience with 3PL distribution operations a plus •Tableau or Chainalytics experience a plus * Experience & Education: * •Education: BS degree in Business, Logistics/Supply Chain/Engineering or equivalent •Experience: 2-3 years experience in Logistics with a working knowledge in shipment planning, transportation, distribution, and customer service.
