Video Engineer – Design
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Attend customer meetings and conduct site surveys.
Ability to translate customer requirements into functional system designs.
Understand architectural/construction drawings and documentation.
Design and engineer complex audio/video/VTC systems.
Provide floor plans and elevations.
Create engineering, programming, and installation labor estimates.
Will not have supervisory responsibilities but may provide guidance for integration and/or installation teams.
Audio/Video systems configuration and testing.
Hours of coverage:
Individual shift may vary, but you will be a member of a team that provides coverage from 6:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Security Clearance Requirements:
- Current/active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
Minimum Qualifications:
Ability to communicate and interact professionally with colleagues, project stakeholders and the client.
Understanding industry best practices in audio, video and control systems design/integration for conference rooms, operation center watch floors, training rooms, and VIP offices.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to assess customer needs, meet quality standards for services, and evaluate customer satisfaction.
Demonstrated problem solving skills.
Must demonstrate ability to thrive and succeed in a challenging environment.
Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
Able to interact with individuals from all levels of the organization.
Basic understanding of IP technologies.
Exceptional customer service skills.
Proficiency in the use of MS Office suite to include Visio and Power Point.
BA/BS and 4 years of experiences, or a combination of education and work experience equivalent to 8 years.
Experience with:
A/V switching systems.
Commercial Audio (understanding of audio theory, signal flow and gain staging).
DSP technology (including DANTE).
Formal education in Electronics or related field preferred.
AVIXA CTS (Certified Technical Specialist) is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
Must be able to move/traverse within and between buildings and offices.
Must be able to position self to maintain equipment and cabling, including under the desks, while moving floor tiles, and in server closets, some of which may be confined spaces.
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
Must be able to move Audio/Visual or Computer equipment weighing 50 pounds or more, some equipment may require team-lift or the use of carts.
