The AWS Brick and Network Delivery (BaND) team is searching for a passionate and talented program manager to drive Network PoP-Edge delivery standardization across multiple AWS clusters. You will assess the demand requirements along with available network resources to determine and drive prime solutions for our customers. You will work with stakeholders to complete per-requisites necessary to deliver critical networking capacity. You will lead programs with goals to improve infrastructure resource utilization and availability. You will work with teams across the AWS Organization to effectively plan and deliver network resources.

Key job responsibilities

  • End to end ownership of delivering automation to drive efficiencies across the global organization, including ownership of primary output goals; reliability, accuracy, and productivity/efficiency for PoP-Edge Delivery.

  • Develop/Manage Network Scaling roadmap to successfully drive Programs and Initiatives to improve the Networking Pop-Edge Delivery organization.

  • Identify risks with in the Pop-Edge Delivery process/systems and work with stakeholders and owners to remove and/or mitigate risks.

  • Achieve productivity increases across global Network Delivery team by implementing scalable solutions, reducing complexity in processes and deploying automation.

  • Partner across VP orgs (networking engineers/tech program managers/senior management) to intake and lead new design pilots and develop a seamless plan to operationalize new technologies.

  • Partner with global Network Pop-Edge Delivery Technical Program Managers to ensure fast, smooth delivery of on-demand data center capacity.

  • Manage multiple competing projects/programs simultaneously, while providing stakeholders with effective communication and status.

  • Ensure global standardization of all Network Edge Delivery related processes/procedures.

  • Always keep the customer experience as the primary focus.

Brick and Network Deployment team ensures data center network and port capacity is available for incoming customer racks (demand). Customer racks (also known as server racks) need this capacity (networking racks) to gain access to the AWS network to provide service capacity for AWS customers. TIPMs are responsible for coordinating with the Infrastructure Delivery, Capacity Design Planning, and Supply Chain teams to ensure datacenter capacity is planned and delivered on time.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience managing programs in a Data Center or Networking environment

  • 3+ years of Supply Chain Management experience, e.g., forecasting, planning, scheduling

  • 3+ years of experience conducting quantitative and qualitative analysis

  • Meets/exceeds Amazon’s functional/technical depth and complexity for this role

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with datacenter network and delivering complex network and software development programs.

  • Experience with business intelligence and data visualization and reporting tools (e.g. Tableau)

  • Basic knowledge of SQL is a plus

  • Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent written composition and verbal communication skills

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $87,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $197,700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
