Lockheed Martin Test Engineer in Herndon, Virginia

In this role you will:

- Design test plans, scenarios, scripts or procedures

- Document software defects, using bug tracking systems, and report defects to software developers

- Conduct software compatibility tests with programs, hardware, operating systems, or network environments

- Develop testing programs that address areas such as database impacts, software scenarios, regression testing and usability

- Develop standards, methods, or procedures to determine product quality or release readiness

- Design, define, and document unit and application test plans

- Plan test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope or delivery dates

- Evaluate software for automated testing

- Transform test plans into test scripts and execute those scripts

Basic Qualifications:

- Demonstrated experience designing and documenting unit and applications test plans.

- Demonstrated experience conducting software compatibility tests with programs, hardware, operating systems, or network environments

- Demonstrated experience designing test plans, scenarios, scripts, or procedures.

- Demonstrated experience using automated testing tools

- Demonstrated experience developing or specifying standards, methods, or procedures to determine product quality or release readiness

- Demonstrated experience regression testing, negative testing, error or bug retests, or usability

- Demonstrated experience documenting software defects, using bug tracking systems, and report defects to software developers.

Desired Skills:

- Demonstrated experience building/creating automated tests

- Mobile test experience

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: Standard Monday to Friday 40 hour work week
